Two extended sessions on storytelling and curriculum design as well as an inspirational talk by Betti Wiggins from Detroit Public Schools School Nutrition and a field trip.

Join us in celebrating all things local during the local food dinner! Welcome by Harry Chen, M.D., Vermont Commissioner of Health. Betti Wiggins, Executive Director from Detriot Public Schools Office of School Nutrition, will present “How F2S Made Me a Triple A Threat.”
Dinner will feature a special menu highlighting local foods developed in collaboration with Vermont Bean Crafters. The menu will include dishes using local foods and Vermont beans as the main source of protein for guests to sample, as well as other non-bean selections. When registering, you will be asked to share any dietary restrictions, allergies, or sensitivities.
Local Foods Dinner Menu: Bean & Vegetable Cassoulet, Macaroni & Cheese, Braised Haricot Vert and Carrots, Warm Roasted Salad (quinoa, potatoes, green beans, garlic, kale, green onions, Dijon vinaigrette), Bread, Salad, White Bean Custard with Whipped Cream & Apple Crisp.

Welcome by Dr. Rebecca Holcombe, Vermont Secretary of Education and leaders in the Vermont Farm to School Network.
Over 20 workshops to choose from during three breakout sessions.
Remarks from Chuck Ross, Secretary of the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets and Senator Patrick Leahy (invited). Lunchtime keynote presented by Deborah Kane, USDA Farm to School. During her address, “Vermont – a Model Farm to School State,” Kane will reflect on the role Vermont’s farm to school practitioners have played in creating a national model and suggest ways in which Vermont can continue to play a leadership role in the future.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
We understand that things happen sometimes and are happy to assist you in transferring your registration for free. We will need to cancel your registration and process a new one to make the transfer. Please contact email@example.com for assistance.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes! Simply log back in to EventBrite and make the necessary updates.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds may be requested until October 25, 2016, and will incur a 20% administrative fee. Registrations may be transferred before and after that date without incurring a fee. No refunds will be granted following October 25, 2016. After your refund request is received, a check will be issued to you within 30 days.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is not required. You will check in at the registration table when you arrive.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
Because the name badges will be taken from the registration, the actual attendee’s information will need to be on the registration. Also, in the event of an emergency, we need each attendee’s specific emergency contact information.
Does registration include dinner on November 2?
No, tickets for the local foods dinner with guest speaker Betti Wiggins are additional. They can be purchased when you register for $25.
Can I pay by check or purchase order?
Yes! Please register online and when you get to the payment options select “other payment options” and then “pay by check” or “pay by invoice”.
